New York

You can visit New York 100 times and not even scratch the surface of what the city has to offer. Even once you’ve visited all the main attractions, there will always be more independent galleries to explore, unknown streets to walk, bars to drink in and restaurants in which to while away the hours. Despite this, there is something wonderfully familiar about the place even from the first time you step foot into the city. Perhaps this comes from the way we’ve all viewed it a million times through iconic photographs and much-loved sitcoms. That instantly recognisable skyline, even when it towers above you, roots you to the spot.

The main places of interest need no introduction and if it is your first time visiting, it is certainly worth spending some time visiting the Statue of Liberty or Central Park. Take in a bird’s eye view of the city from the Empire State Building observatory or learn about the events and aftermath of the Twin Towers at the memorial and museum.

For nightlife, There are clubs to be found, but it’s really all about the bar scene in NY and not to worry if you’re travelling by yourself – no one bats an eyelid if you pull up a bar stool on your lonesome.

The High Line is an attraction you wouldn’t want to miss, especially if your goal is to get away from the hustle and bustle New York City is known for for a brief while.

This elevated pedestrian walkway is a public park built on what used to be an old freight rail line, and with its high platforms twisting around a small part of Manhattan it’s delightfully peaceful compared to the traffic below.

Enjoying your last evening in New York with a view of Manhattan from the Top of the Rock is the best way to end your stay in New York City.

It’s truly lovely to see more and more lights in Manhattan come to life just as the night starts to settle in. However make sure you give yourself lots of time to head up, as it’s quite popular in the evenings.

Overall, viewing New York from so high atop is one of the best ways to experience the city, and we think the view from here is actually better than others because you can look at the iconic Empire State Building all lit up just across the way.

Washington DC

Founded on July 16, 1790, Washington, DC is unique among American cities because it was established by the Constitution of the United States to serve as the nation’s capital. You can read the actual line at the National Archives. From its beginning, it has been embroiled in political manoeuvring, sectional conflicts and issues of race, national identity, compromise and, of course, power.

Like many decisions in American history, the location of the new city was to be a compromise: Alexander Hamilton and northern states wanted the new federal government to assume Revolutionary War debts, and Thomas Jefferson and southern states who wanted the capital placed in a location friendly to slave-holding agricultural interests.

With access to free museums, the monuments and memorials, the Library of Congress and more, Washington, DC is unrivalled for its many free attractions. But at any given time, you can also take advantage of free one-of-a-kind events, groundbreaking exhibits and unique festivals, making DC the capital of free events.

One of the most visited cities in the USA; Washington, DC offers a variety of interesting experiences, from learning about American history and government to seeing many of the most iconic sights in the country. This vibrant city is also home to great food, art, cultural attractions and much more. Read on for the top reasons to visit Washington, DC.

One of the oldest neighbourhoods in Washington DC, Georgetown is ideally situated on the Potomac River. In early colonial times, the port served as a major commercial centre. Founded in 1751 by George Beall and George Gordon, the original name was the Town of George. Since both of the founders’ first names were George and the English king at the time as well, historians dispute the source of the name of the town.

You Can Even Visit the White House

Taking a tour of the White House is one of the most popular things to do when visiting Washington, DC. To get tickets, you need to plan and make requests in advance. It has been known to take a month or a few months to get a reservation; but it’s totally worth it to see the White House up close. If you can’t get a reservation to take a tour, just seeing it from the outside, viewing the grounds and stopping in at the White House Visitor Centre is an experience you won’t forget. Inside the visitor centre you can learn about the history of the White House, the first families who lived there, the furnishings, the architecture and much more. There’s also a gift shop where you can pick up souvenirs.

The Lincoln Memorial was opened on Memorial Day in 1922, 57 years after Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, was assassinated. The immense Greek Temple stands in front of a gleaming reflecting pool and is a stunning spectacle during the day and especially at night. The sculpture of Lincoln sitting inside is 19-feet tall and inscriptions related to his Presidency along with his Gettysburg Address adorn the walls that surround him.

An exquisite mural of an angel of truth freeing a slave, along with other depictions inside the memorial, are reminders of the significant changes with which Lincoln is credited . A place of inspiration and a symbol of the distinction of this extraordinary President, the Lincoln Memorial is one of the most visited sites in the area. It is also used as a gathering place for political rallies including the March of Washington in 1963, when Martin Luther King delivered his famous, “I have a dream” speech.

There are so many different options available for any particular holiday that provide opportunitie for a more cost effective price or upgrades with certain hotels that you might miss out on a better deal.

We strongly believe that a real person is better able to make intuitive decisions about a holiday enquiry than a computer programme that will not have the same dedication or commitment to providing the best possible service.

ALSO, why should you waste your time searching for a great deal when we can do it for you - with a personal touch. Rest assured, you will always be dealing with a real live person and you will have direct contact with the same person all the time. You will never have to deal with an anonymous person in a call centre.

It is our absolute, number one, priority to ensure that you are happy with the details of your holiday before you book and it is important that you have the time to do this.

It is also important to remember, however, that prices change all the time (particularly the cost of flights) and it is with this in mind, that we would urge you to try and confirm the booking as soon as possible. We will provide a quote according to your enquiry for the best prices on the day. Communication is the key to getting the best deal and we will work to ensure that we respond to your requests as quickly as possible to guarantee the best prices for you.

You might prefer a different location or have in mind a particular hotel in mind that you would like to stay at. It is impossible for us to send you a quote for every possible hotel option so we usually provide a choice of two or three different hotels in each quote. We are always happy to provide you with other choices and the more information you can give us will help us in finding that sought after hotel that is "Just Right".

Payments

We have several very simple and straightforward methods available for receiving payment.

The most popular method is for us to give you a quick call, answer any final questions you might have, and take a debit or credit card payment. If you prefer, we are able to send you a Client Paymet Form that can be completed and emailed back to us.

Your initial documents will usually include a Receipt, Confirmation of Booking, Flight Confirmations and Confirmation of Accommodation Reservations.

Occasionally, emails which contain attachments can be delayed or filtered out by your email provider. If you have not received your documents from us within 24 hrs, please let us know and we can resend them.
